From father to son

The Sebastiani winery is a family business that was founded in 1700. It is situated at the foot of the gently rolling morenic hills, which characterise the village of Ghemme, in High Piedmont Hard work and passion for wine-growing and wine-making have been handed down from father to son for six generations. Our goal is to blend past, present and future in a single trademark, respecting the knowledge that each father has passed down to his son in the long run, ensuring a constant evolution. Th art of wine-making has been handed down until today, when Alberto is helped by his son Luca, who joined the company a few years ago.

Innovation in tradition

Since the early 1980s the Sebastiani winery has been cooperating with the Milan University to reduce the environmental impact on grapes, by following the so-called Lotta guidata e integrata rules, in order to preserve the final product and protect the surrounding environment. Thanks to constant and careful attention to vineyards and wine-making, by joining tradition and innovation, we are in a position to offer top-quality wines, which mirror the features of our area. Grazie ad attente e costanti cure in vigneto e nelle vinificazioni, applicando un connubio di tradizione e innovazione, siamo in grado di offrire vini di qualità espressione del territorio. Territorio che vi invitiamo a scoprire ogni qual volta stapperete una nostra bottiglia e vi lascerete trasportare dalle suadenti note di questo “divino” prodotto. I vigneti sono iscritti all’albo D.O.C. Ghemme a partire dal 1969 primo anno della denominazione e D.O.C.G. Ghemme a partire dal 1996. I vigneti si estendono su una superficie di 5,5 ettari suddivisi tra i diversi vitigni Nebbiolo, Vespolina ed Erbaluce allevati a sistema Guyot semplice, al fine di ottimizzare la produzione incrementando la qualità delle uve con una densità di 4000 piante ad ettaro.
